5. Profiles, Applications and Visibility
Information you place in a public or searchable profile may be visible to employers, recruiters or other users according to the settings and features you choose. If you apply for a vacancy or contact another user, the recipient will receive the information you submit and will normally become an independent controller responsible for its own use of that information.
Do not include information in a profile, CV or message that you do not want relevant recipients to see. You are responsible for ensuring that information about another person is shared lawfully.
6. Who We Share Information With
We may share personal information with:

- another organisation involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of the Platform.
We do not sell personal information.
7. Job Feeds and Third-Party Opportunities
Some vacancies may originate from third-party job feeds, recruitment systems or partner websites. Selecting or applying for such a vacancy may take you to a third-party service. That organisation’s privacy notice will govern information it collects directly from you. We encourage you to review it before submitting personal information.
8. Cookies and Analytics
We use essential cookies and similar technologies to operate accounts, security and core website functions. With consent where required, we may use optional analytics or marketing technologies to understand use of the Platform and improve our services.
You can manage optional cookies through the cookie controls provided on the website and through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the Platform from working correctly.
9. Marketing Communications
We may send service messages needed to operate your account. Where permitted, we may also send information about relevant features, jobs or services. You can unsubscribe from marketing using the link in the message or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop essential account or service communications.
10. International Transfers
Some service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use a lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses, where required.
11. How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing accounts and services, maintaining security, resolving disputes and meeting tax, accounting and legal obligations.
Retention periods vary by record. Account and profile information is generally kept while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax and company law. Security logs and support records may be retained for shorter or longer periods depending on risk and legal requirements. We may retain anonymised information that no longer identifies you.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against accidental or unlawful loss, alteration, disclosure or access. No online service is completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices and account access.
13. Your Data Protection Rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- be informed about how your information is used;
- request access to your personal information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to erase information;
- ask us to restrict processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing;

These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. To exercise a right, use our Contact page.

The Platform is not intended for children under 16. Users aged 16 or 17 should use the Platform only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly seek to collect information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us.
15. Complaints
Please contact us first if you have concerns about how we use your information so we can try to resolve them. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, through ico.org.uk.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Platform, our practices or the law. We will publish the revised policy and update the date above. Where changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice where appropriate.
